Introducing Maggie: a resilient and friendly dog with an extraordinary will to survive!
Maggie was discovered in Lebanon with 17 bullet wounds, her eyes blinded, her ear severed, and her jaw shattered. Not only was she abandoned and tied to a box, but she was also pregnant, adding to her desperate plight.
Last year, the Wild At Heart Foundation, an animal charity, rescued Maggie. Upon learning about Maggie’s harrowing story, Kasey from Brighton made the compassionate decision to offer this abandoned and injured dog a new lease on life.
However, there was one hurdle to overcome—the safe journey of bringing Maggie from Lebanon to the United Kingdom.
Thanks to a global online campaign that enlisted the support of millions of people, Maggie’s relocation was made possible. She now resides in her new home and has found a loving family in Sussex, UK.
Maggie, affectionately known as the Wunder Dog on the Internet, has amassed an impressive following of 500k on Instagram. She has embarked on a fulfilling career, visiting hospitals, care homes, and universities, spreading a positive message wherever she goes.
Maggie is not just an ordinary dog anymore. She has become an official therapy dog. To qualify as a therapy dog, Maggie underwent various tests and examinations. Kasey, Maggie’s owner, took to Instagram to share the joyous news of Maggie’s successful completion of her exams.
Kasey wrote, “Yesterday, Maggie and I met with her assessor, @maherandhounddogtraining. She showcased her skills and gave it her all, and she PASSED.”
Maggie has received authorization as a therapy dog from @underdog international.
Maggie’s dedication to spreading love and positivity is truly inspiring and heartwarming. A dog that has endured such inhumane cruelty continues to bring happiness to the lives of countless individuals. It is nothing short of remarkable. We, as humans, can learn so much from Maggie and other animals.
