Dog Blinded Through Suspected Dogfighting Yearns For Cuddle Buddy & Loving

A blind dog chained outside with only a broken-down doghouse for shelter was among the 108 dogs rescued last November from Michigan’s largest suspected dogfighting operation.

Bark Nation, an animal welfare organization based in Detroit with a mission to end dogfighting and save lives, rescued all of the dogs with the assistance of federal and state law enforcement.

The dogs were examined by a veterinarian, who determined that the sweet boy, who was clearly blind, had most likely lost his eyesight as a result of dogfighting trauma.

“We can’t imagine how traumatic it must have been for him to live outside, exposed to the elements, and completely blind,” Jessica Brown, Director of Operations at Bark Nation, explained.
