A 3-month-old pit bull puppy that had a terrible start to life will never lack for anything after being adopted by actor Dave Bautista.
The former wrestler has a soft spot for pit bulls and as soon as he heard Sage’s tale, he phoned the shelter to aid.
Sage came at the Humane Society of Tampa Bay (HSTB) after a Good Samaritan saw her eating rubbish in a local cemetery.

The nice puppy went up to the woman and that is when she noticed a metal chain was implanted in her neck. She hurried the puppy to the HSTB for aid.
The medical team examined Sage, who wagged her tail the entire time, and prepped her for surgery to remove the chain buried around her neck.
“In addition to the chain, we noticed that Sage had skin difficulties and growing nails. We can’t comprehend who would do this to her,” wrote the shelter.
Lots of individuals offered to foster or indicated interest in adopting the adorable kid after she healed – and one of those people was Dave Bautista.
Dave was outraged that someone could mistreat the innocent puppy and claimed he would personally present $5,000 cash to the person who offered information that led to an arrest and conviction. His award is in addition to the $1,500 reward offered by HSTB and another $5,000 offered by Alvarez Injury Law to discover the heartless individual.
Despite Dave appears like a strong guy, he melted at the sight of the adorable puppy trotting towards him. He sported a wide smile and chuckled as the Sage walked straight towards him.

He leaned down and tenderly rubbed the dog’s head and they became immediate best buddies. But Dave isn’t the only one happy about his new addition to the family.
Sage is the image of bliss nestled in the arms of her new dad.
The shelter announced the joyful news on Facebook letting its fans know that Sage had been adopted.
“Dave watched Sage’s tale and knew that she belonged with him! We are really delighted for Sage!”
The small pup has been called Penny by David and will join his other two rescue pitties. He released a video on Instagram introducing Penny to his fans and stated as he cuddled his new pup, “She’s about to experience her happiest puppy life ever.”
